_ SOCiAL NORM <3
A social norm is something that can be broken. A social norm is brought by society. A social norm out side in the community would be like holding the door for the person behind you or stopping at a stop light/stop sign. Also a social norm in school would be for kids from 5 to 18 to go to school and get an education. Also for students in class to sit down and listen to the lesson for the day. A social norm for family would be always to support each other.

A taboo would be a custom prohibiting or restricting a particular practice or forbidding association with a particular person, place, or thing.

Themes [Fences]
The theme of the book Fences by August Wilson would be old fashion. The reason why I would say old fashion is because the way the play was set up, and also by the way they talk. They prenounce there word different than others.
The beginning of the play starts in the middle of a conversation with Troy and Bono in his dirty back yard.

ENGLiSH
INGLiS:
English class is interesting. It can be fun but can also be boring. My experience with high school English class happened to be a fun experience. I must say some classes were dead and boring. For one my junior year we read a book called the Crucible by Arthur Miller. When we were reading the book I do remember me falling asleep in class. The movie was more interesting than just the book. Also junior year we read The Piano Lesson by August Wilson. It was a good and kept me wanting to pay attention in class and read it. Along with Fences, by August Wilson.
Your English class can be actually fun, but only if you read the right books. I must admit even thou we had read some boring books in my opinion English were a good class to have because besides the reading you also did writing and editing. That part I would say is the best.
